CHICAGO (CBS)-Police are looking for the two men who robbed a Rolls-Royce dealership near the Gold Coast on Saturday afternoon, but this was not the vehicle they were looking for.

The police said that around 12:11 pm, the two criminals entered the company in the North Rush 800 block near the Magnificent Mile.

The video showed a man wearing a gray hoodie staying at the entrance, while another man wearing a black hoodie walked to the jewelry display cabinet and broke the glass with a hammer. Then, the man in gray took out something that looked like a gun from his sweatshirt pocket. The staff said that the thief then took out a bag and put in several expensive watches.

What you can't see in the video is the salesperson chasing the two with his gun.

"Absolutely. You can't take things that don't belong to you," said salesperson Mike Ibraimi

According to the business owner, they fled and took away $2 million in merchandise.

The owner also said that there are family members in the shop. The salesperson talked about protecting them from chaos.

"You take people away and try to hide them. Because you don't know what these two people are going to do," Keynestiles said.

The two fled the scene in an unknown car.

The dealer boss was very angry.

"If they don't stop this, the city I love and everyone loves to come to will become a desert. We will let people move out of this city - they are moving out now - they just want to be safe," owner Joe Perillo (Joe Perillo) said. "They walked into my company and broke the window. Standing alone with a gun. We have to let this happen. It's enough."

He hoped that Mayor Lori Lightfoot and the State Attorney's Office would take more action.

This happened after a series of thefts in the high-end retail area near the Magnificent Mile. CBS 2 has previously reported how experts say this will scare the business away.

Perillo wanted it to stop, and thought it would start in Chicago. He said Cook County prosecutors and city leaders need to hold criminals accountable.

"Always doing things the same way and expecting different results, it's just a fool. If the mayor and Kim Foxx don't take any measures to control this, the situation won't get better. It won't get worse," He said.

Experts told CBS 2 that burglaries like this could affect the tourism industry and make people reluctant to come to the city center.

This is the last thing Perillo wants in the city he loves and calls home.

"But now it is becoming PalookaVille," he said.
