The grant author/manager is responsible for ensuring the security of external funds through formal grant proposals from professional/private foundations, companies, federal and state agencies, and other external agencies. This position is responsible for the entire funding process from research and application to funding conclusion. The position will remain open until the recruitment is full.

· Need to obtain a bachelor's degree from a regionally recognized institution

· At least 2 years of writing experience

· Requires proven experience in writing successful funded grant proposals

· Office environment

· Rarely lift and carry items weighing 15 pounds.

· Infrequently bends and twists the waist

· Rarely have evening and weekend work hours; often sit at a desk or workstation and use a computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, and phone

· Rarely travel between campus buildings, satellite campuses, and off-campus sites

· Identify, analyze, and seek potential sources of additional funding from state and federal governments, foundations, businesses and industries, and other appropriate sources​​

· Determine the source of funds coordinated with the college’s strategic plan

· Research, write, and coordinate the proposal materials required for funding application, and submit them in a timely manner in accordance with the funding guidelines

· Track proposal submission and progress

· Keep abreast of trends, statistics, research and public policies in education, cultural activities and workforce development, which will affect funding opportunities, proposal writing and reporting

· Develop and maintain a process to monitor grant compliance

· Complete all grant reports and comply with the deadlines required by the source of funding and the Director of Institutional Development

· Coordinate with the commercial office to supervise the compliance with the conditions of the award contract

· Assist the public to recognize and cultivate ongoing relationships with grantors

· Maintain an organized computerized database of grant recommendations and reports
