Loveland churches announced plans to offer book studies and a pop-up communion, parking lot blessing and fellowship event.

First Congregational Church, Loveland UCC, 800 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, has three upcoming events.

A book study on “The Hidden Wholeness” by Parker Palmer will be offered at 7-8:15 p.m. Wednesday evenings beginning on Sept. 14. Contact the church at 970-667-4884 for more information.

Fall worship nights will held on the first Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m., beginning on Sept. 6. All are welcome to this time of scripture and praise through music.

A pop-up communion, parking lot blessing and fellowship will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, in the parking lot of the First Congregational Church. Bring a chair if you plan to stay for the event or stop by between 6:45 and 7:30 p.m. for communion-to-go.  The Rev. Thandiwe Dale-Ferguson will officiate.

First Congregational Church is an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ.

Women in the Word will begin this year at 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Faith Church, 2707 N. Wilson, Loveland.

The Bible study is in its 44th year and is open to all women in the community. The group meets on Tuesday mornings and will be studying from the Wisdom books in the Bible, including Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Job and James.

Kids in the Word is available for toddlers through kindergarten and they will hear Bible stories, learn verses, sing songs and have time to play.

Women in the Word After Hours is available to women unable to attend on Tuesday mornings.

Northern Colorado Beer Choir: 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at the Tilted Barrel Brew Pub, 110 E. 29th St., No. 2724, Loveland. Sponsored by First United Presbyterian Church. No experience is necessary. Namaqua Unitarian Universalist Congregation: 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 745 E. Fifth St., Loveland. “Finding Ways to Belong” will be the theme. Worship associates Doug Stewart and Janet Gillette, with the help of Clay Roper, will muse on ways to increase a sense of belonging — in society at large, outside our walls, as well as within them, in support of our creating beloved community together.
