A mother of two Australians who is popular for photographing family hackers shared a napkin technique that will add a stylish touch to the table this Christmas.

Carolina McCauley from Perth introduced how to make simple and effective floral patterns using only linen napkins.

To create the look, first lay the linen napkin flat so that it is flat into a square, and then start to fold the four corners of each side to the middle.

Once the four corners are in the middle, fold the four outer corners toward the middle again to create a "chat room" effect.

Now turn the napkin over and begin to fold the outer corners toward the middle.

Finally, hold the middle part with one hand, and with the other hand, start to pull out the napkin layer behind the corner.

Pulling the napkin in this special way will produce a tapered "leaf" or "petal" effect with inner and outer layers

Continue to pull out the four corners of the napkin and place it on the dining table to see how it is finished.

The simple and stylish way of folding napkins will definitely impress the guests before they sit down for a meal.
