Sam Moore's ChiChi swivel chair is a study in comfort.

BEDFORD, Va.– Furniture manufacturer Sam Moore is focusing its High Point Market offerings on adding to its popular Soft Modern line, extending its modular sectional products and showcasing fabric introductions that exude comfort.

In preparing this season’s introductions, the design team traveled to Milan, Indonesia and cities across the U.S. for design inspiration.

Core fabric introductions embrace texture from bouclés, exotic furs and specialty yarns. Other notable featured cover fabrics include bright and playful statement patterns, visually interesting twists on jewel tones, vintage velvets and animal prints.

“We are so excited about this season’s fabric introductions,” said Sandi Mowry, senior vice president of sales and merchandising. “Many of our offerings are based around the idea of what we’re calling the 3 C’s: cozy, comfort, and calm. These include textures from bouclés to heavy sweater-inspired plains and fun furs as well as soothing, nature-inspired colorations with greens, blues, desert hues and warm sand tones.”

A highlight is the ChiChi swivel chair that features an unexpected back design. Also in the Soft Modern lineup is the Basil swivel recliner which has a metal base and second back option being added to the product grouping.

“The ChiChi chair is our standout piece that you genuinely have to experience for yourself,” said Mowry. “Not only is the design of the chair itself is incomparable to anything out there right now, but we’re showing it in a playful faux fur cover that just begs to be snuggled into!”

Sam Moore’s latest modular introduction fills a void in their current offerings, according to the company.

The Chelsea sectional comes in standard modular pieces and a left back/right back sofa chaise component. Chelsea was designed to fill the growing need for smaller scale seating to fit smaller spaces.

On the opposite end of the size spectrum, the company’s Midtown slanted track arm sofa is a transitional-modern sofa with softly padded, exaggerated slanted track arms and measures 100 inches. The Midtown sofa provides large open spaces with a commanding piece that can anchor a room.

In addition, Sam Moore is introducing four new chair styles based on customer demand. The Millie is a high-back swivel chair that will also be offered as a swivel glider. Millie is a casual-transitional follow up to the company’s Aubrey chair. The Echo chair is a retro-inspired club chair that features a new style of formed arm paired with a cone leg. The Camden swivel chair is a versatile piece with a wood or metal arm, transitioning easily from transitional to rustic modern applications.

Sam Moore is located at the Hooker Legacy Brands showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center, space C-1058.
