Introductions include the ChiChi Swivel Chair, a fun follow-up to previous seasons’ neoteric swivel chairs

Bedford-based furniture manufacturer Sam Moore reported that it has focused new product offerings for the October Market in two key areas: a continuation of their ongoing “Soft Modern” design theme, and an extension of their popular modular sectional product line. The team has traveled to Milan, Indonesia, and to metropolitan cities across the US for design inspiration. Sam Moore’s Soft Modern aesthetic is growing with the addition of the ChiChi Swivel Chair, a fun follow-up to previous seasons’ neoteric swivel chairs. ChiChi features an unexpected back design that sets it apart from other designs. Also falling into the Soft Modern lineup is the Basil Swivel Recliner which has a metal base and second back option being added into the product grouping. “The ChiChi chair is our standout piece that you genuinely have to experience for yourself,” said Sandi Mowry, Senior Vice President of Sales and Merchandising for Sam Moore. “Not only is the design of the chair itself is incomparable to anything out there right now, but we’re showing it in a playful faux fur cover that just begs to be snuggled into!” Sam Moore’s latest modular introduction fills a void in their current offerings. The Chelsea Sectional is a unit that comes in the standard modular pieces and a left back / right back sofa chaise component. Chelsea was designed to fill the growing need for smaller scale seating to fit smaller spaces. The Midtown Slanted Track Arm Sofa is a transitional-modern sofa with softly padded, exaggerated, slanted track arms. It measures 100”, situating itself in on the opposite end of the spectrum from the Chelsea Sectional. The Midtown Sofa provides large open spaces with a commanding piece that can truly anchor a room.

Also new are four new chair styles based on high levels of customer demand. The Millie is a high-back swivel chair that will also be offered as a swivel glider, it is a casual-transitional follow up to the popular Aubrey chair. The Echo Chair is a retro-inspired club chair that features a new style of formed arm paired with a cone leg. The Camden Swivel Chair is a versatile piece with a unique wood or metal arm, transitioning easily from transitional to rustic modern applications. Core fabric introductions embrace texture from bouclés, exotic furs, and specialty yarns. Other notable featured cover fabrics will include bright and playful statement patterns, visually interesting twists on jewel tones, vintage velvets, and animal prints. “We are so excited about this season’s fabric introductions,” Mowry said. “Many of our offerings are based around the idea of what we’re calling ‘the 3 C’s’ – cozy, comfort, and calm. These include textures from bouclés to heavy sweater inspired plains and fun furs as well as soothing, nature-inspired colorations with greens, blues, desert hues, and warm sand tones.” Sam Moore, a division of Hooker Furnishings, will once again be showing in the Hooker Legacy Brands showroom on the 10th floor of IHFC, space C1058.
