Entry home: The stylish refurbished Rochestown three-bedroom house is an outstanding property

2021-12-13 10:20:00 By : Ms. Molly Lin

It's a bit of an understatement to say that the owners of 7 Belmont in Rochestown have modernized their three-bed mid-terrace home-it might be more accurate to say that they modified it.

They knocked on the walls and completely rearranged the ground floor layout to create a stylish and modern open-plan living area equipped with a smart modern kitchen.

Mark Rose, Rose Property's sales agent, was particularly impressed with the bathroom upstairs. "After being remodeled, it has the finish standards you might find in high-end hotels."

The property was built in the early 2,000's and has a long back garden. “The owner also upgraded the boiler, installed three layers of glass on the ground, and raised the BER level to B3,” Mr. Ross said.

The open-plan ground floor space is completely decorated in gray and white, and the kitchen area is equipped with a white glossy kitchen unit, a gray center island and two sets of patio doors. The guest bathroom downstairs is now a dark gray modern space with two large mirrors.

Rope handrails create a little nautical effect on the white painted stairs.

The bathroom upstairs has been transformed into a tiled wet room with rectangular wood effects, wall-mounted sinks, glass shower walls and a huge mirror.

The three bedrooms-two double rooms and a single room-are decorated in grey and white like every room in the house.

VERDICT: The stylish decoration makes this hotel stand out.

Lisgoold’s No 1 Cois Na Curra has two floors in the front and three floors in the back. It is the end of the row house, and its space is much larger than you think.

“It has more than 1,530 square feet of living space, is well maintained, and has an energy rating of B3,” said Clare Fox of Sherry FitzGerald O'Donovan, who believes that the €245,000 guide is good for a spacious 2006 completed house with high standards. .

The accommodation on the ground floor includes a spacious tiled kitchen dining room with modern units, integrated appliances and bay windows.

Outside the corridor is a guest toilet, and outside the kitchen is a utility room.

On top of this, there is a carpeted living room on the first floor with a limestone fireplace and a double bedroom, which can easily be turned into a home office.

On the top floor there is a bathroom and three bedrooms-a single room and two double rooms-including a bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a slide.

There is no garden in front of the property, but there is a driveway with parking space in the back.

Cois Na Curra is located in Lisgoold Village, 8.5 km from Midleton and a 20-minute drive from Dunkettle Roundabout.

Ms. Fox said the property has attracted strong interest from first-time homebuyers-including some who want to turn a bedroom into an office and work remotely.

The property price register shows that five new properties in the Cois Na Curra development zone are being sold this year, with prices ranging from 233,480 Euros to 255,506 Euros.

VERDICT: Very spacious price.

Attractions at 10 Charlton Pier, Bailick Road, Middleton include two balconies with views of the Ballina Cura Estuary and modern accommodation.

Kyle Kennedy of Hegarty Properties described the two-bed duplex apartment built in 2005 as in pristine condition.

He said the two oceanfront balconies are a big selling point of the property because it is within walking distance of Middleton city centre.

The accommodation includes an open-plan kitchen, living room and guest toilet, as well as two bedrooms and a bathroom.

VERDICT: Affordable modern property with two oceanfront balconies-what's not to like?

Douglas prices are not much cheaper than the 225,000 Euros at 6 Donnybrook Terrace in Cork Donnybrook.

Garry O'Donnell, ERA Downey McCarthy’s sales agent, said that the half-d provides an excellent opportunity for first-time buyers to purchase affordable homes within a 10-minute walk of Douglas Village.

It was built in 1910 and subsequently expanded, requiring some modernization.
