News...but not what you know

A lady shared how she used a plastic bowl to create a stylish DIY coffee table for £8.

Veronica Cannady, a 31-year-old content creator from New York, USA, embarked on the project to avoid spending 22.74 pounds (30 US dollars) on similar items in the store.

The furniture she initially focused on was three floors with curved edges and matte black finishes.

To make the DIY version, Veronica purchased six plastic bowls, each valued at 76 pence ($1), as well as a plate of the same value at 76 pence, a bucket of 76 pence of hot glue, and a can of black spray paint at a price of 2.27 pence ( 3 dollars)).

The total cost was £8.33 ($11), and she bought everything from Dollar Tree, a local discount store.

In the beginning, she took apart the deconstructed bowl, turned the two halves upside down and glued them together to build the base. Next, she connects the serving tray to the top as the table part.

Finally, she sprayed the entire table with a cool matte black.

"I like the end result," Veronica said.

'You can't beat the table made by the dollar store.

"A similar table will cost me at least $30 or so."
