Bel’Veth, the Empress of the Void, is the latest jungler coming to League of Legends. Bel’Veth was announced during the first Season 2022 Opening Day Stream on January 7th, teased with two related teasers, Bel’Veth’s Promise and Bel’Veth’s Warning, and officially revealed on May 20th. She will hit the live servers on June 9th with patch 12.11.

Designed as a hybrid attack speed-oriented fighter jungler, Bel’Veth prowls Summoners Rift and, with pleasure, devours every champion and monster to reconstruct reality in her image. Although this image is seemingly gracious and aristocratic, she reveals her true form as soon as she consumes her first victim. After basking in the essence of her victim and recuperating, Bel’Veth then pursues their teammates and, eventually, the monsters, until she covers the whole Summoners Rift in the Lavender Sea.

Bel’Veth’s history does not begin with her birth, but rather, with the birth of the universe. However, as the universe was taking its shape, so was the Void, the emblem of nothingness. As two forces ceaselessly battled for dominance, the Watchers, the first cosmological creatures deprived of their sleep, were trying to destroy them both. But, the Void was cultivating a new faceless menace to annihilate them all.

Formed within the Void, by the Void, and for the Void, Bel’Veth took her final shape as she devoured the city of Belveth, its people, and their memories, experiences and emotions. For years, her insatiable hunger and need for new experiences, memories, and concepts only grew as she continued to devour and repurpose every speck of life into the Lavender Sea.

Today, Bel’Veth strives toward recreating the whole universe in her image. However, in order to both become and command the entire universe, Bel’Veth has no other choice than to consume and destroy Runeterra.

Bel’Veth is a hybrid attack-speed-oriented fighter jungler who thrives in both skirmishes and teamfights with her sustainability, mobility, and consistent damage output. Since Bel’Veth is an infinitely-scaling fighter with built-in sustainability as a part of her Ultimate, she will excel in the midst of a teamfight as she shreds and CCs the frontline. However, as a highly-mobile fighter, Bel’Veth is not limited to a front-to-back teamfight, since she can easily reach the most valuable enemies.

Bel’Veth’s extraordinary kit comes with the price of a weaker early game. Since Bel’Veth commonly spends her early game power-farming, she’s extremely susceptible to early invades that shut her down and delay her power spikes.

Bel’Veth’s attacks are faster than normal and have no attack speed cap. However, her attacks and on-hit effects deal reduced damage. When Bel’Veth slays a large monster or a champion, she permanently gains attack speed, but she doesn’t gain attack speed with levels. In addition, after using an ability, Bel’ Veth’s next two attacks have increased attack speed.

Bel’Veth dashes in one of four directions and deals damage to all enemies she passes through. Each direction has its own cooldown scaling with attack speed.

Bel’Veth slams her tail down, dealing damage to, knocking up, and slowing any enemies hit. If Bel’Veth hits an enemy champion, Void Surge’s cooldown in the direction of the champion hit is reduced.

Bel’Veth channels a storm of slashes around her, reducing damage and increasing life steal. Each slash strikes the lowest health enemy within her Maelstrom, dealing damage based on how much health enemies are missing. The amount of slashes scale with her attack speed.

Passive: Every second attack against the same target deals additional True Damage, stacking infinitely. Takedowns against Epic Monsters and Champions leave behind a piece of Void Coral. Epic Monsters from the Void like Rift Herald and Baron Nashor drop special Void Coral.

Active: Bel’veth consumes Void Coral and explodes, slowing and dealing True Damage to nearby enemies based on their missing health. When Bel’Veth consumes a Void Coral, she enters her True Form. If she consumes a Void Coral from an Epic Monster, her true form lasts longer, and minions that die in her presence are reborn as Voidlings.

True Form: Bel’Veth has increased max health, out-of-combat move speed, attack range, total attack speed, and she can use Void Surge to dash through walls.
