Man hits another person with a metal folding chair: PD | Yorktown, NY Patch

Yorktown, New York — A Yorktown resident was accused of assaulting a man with a folding chair.

The Yorktown Police Department said that shortly before 10pm on Friday, police were sent to a residence in Yorktown to report the attack.

Police said an investigation found that Matthew Polchinski, 31, of Yorktown, was a guest at the residence. He hit the victim's head with a metal folding chair and injured him.

According to the police, the victim was treated for his injuries and was taken to the hospital for additional medical care.

Polchinski was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, which is a felony.

He was taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was dealt with and released in his own name.

During the interrogation, a judge issued a temporary protection order in favor of the victim.

Polchinski will appear in Yorktown Court on December 14.
